Minnesota Christian Student Fellowship (CSF) is a non-denominational, non-profit, Bible-based, Christian ministry at the University of Minnesota for college students and college-age people. We also have an official student organization (with student officers) at the University of Minnesota.
Christian Student Fellowship exists to glorify Christ as an arm of His Church dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel and the making of disciples. We believe that the ministry, strategies, and programs of CSF must address the hearts and minds of the young adults we serve. The scriptural admonitions to "love the Lord your God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength," and "to love your neighbor as yourself" form the foundation for both the methods and the desired outcomes of our ministry.
For those who have not come to know Christ we have identified the following objectives:
To have a personal copy of the Bible
To have opportunities to hear the Gospel of Christ
To have the freedom and access resources needed to find answers to questions and address obstacles to faith in Christ
To profess faith in Christ and take hold of salvation
For those who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, we have identified seven measurable outcomes evidencing Christian growth which we hope to see in their lives. We want each disciple we make to be:
A Person of the Word (with a personal plan for Bible reading, personal application journaling, and scripture memorization)
A Person of Prayer (with a plan for personal prayer and a commitment corporate prayer)
A Proclaimer of the Gospel (with the ability to explain the Gospel and a readiness to share personal testimony)
A Defender of Faith (with the ability to give reasons to believe)
A Member of a Church (actively participating in the life of a local church)
A Christian Servant (with a specific place and role in ministry)
A Person of Integrity (with a strong commitment to Holy living)
